The Perissos Center was founded by Karen Eklind and Nada Brzovich in 2005.  They shared a vision for a quality of service that focuses on the whole person -- including spiritual influences on one's sense of self.  Nada & Karen believe that obstacles to services should be overcome.  Simply that we should not be limited in opportunities to grow nor by the level of support available to achieve more in our lives.

Whether we are assisting you with Consulting services,  Counseling  interventions or issues of Conflict Resolution, we are here to support your committment to and progress toward achieving abundantly more in your life, relationships, work environment and community.

Below we describe our areas of specialization; how we approach our work; and, information on our training and affiliations.

Nada Marie Brzovich, LCSW, ACSW

My work, whether in consulting, conflict resolution or counseling interventions has on overriding theme of conquering obstacles so that we can and do move forward.  After working in the business community for many years I returned to school and acquired a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of South Florida (go Bulls!).  It was always my intention to work with people who have been emotionally wounded; and, with those who choose to be helpers to the larger community.  Throughout my career I have continued to work directly with children, adults and families while developing and maintaining service programs for social service organizations.  Since I could never manage to choose only one concentration area I continue to work both as a therapist and consultant.  My enthusiasm for peace psychology led me to seek training and certification in various mediation, collaborative law and conflict resolution techniques.

Counseling  Are you feeling paralyzed at the idea of talking to someone about what it will take to get out from under what has been holding you back for too long?  Here at the Center you will experience a safe and peaceful place where trustworthy relationships can grow.  We have a welcoming office with comfortable space to step away from life's daily stresses.  A place where you can focus-in on what is important: you.  Much of my work as a therapist has been with children, teens and adults who have experienced or been exposed to trauma or violence; people who experience sadness from painful losses.  One overwhelming incident, or years of ongoing challenges can create a disconnect in how we relate to others, reach our goals, and even feel about ourselves.  Gaining understanding of how life has affected us and how it can change what we believe to be true about ourselves can be incredibly enpowering.   Sometimes we show outward  signs of these challenges through feelings of  anxiety, withdrawing from friends and family, or hurting ourselves.  At times, the anger right under the surface feels like it will explode at any moment for any reason.  Whether in play therapy with children, or using other models of intervention with teens, adults, families and groups, we all can achieve abundantly more.  Why wait?  Contact us now.

Conflict Resolution Whether within a family or organization sometimes we start with the best of intentions for each other and slowly, over time erode in our relationships to a battle of wills.  The resolutionary process is evolutionary as personal goals transform into an understanding of what is really important to us.  There is almost always a place where disagreeing parties can identify their shared interests and then strive to see those interests achieved.  My training in conflict resolution includes masters level academic course work, certifications in transformative and facilitative mediation with an emphasis on family systems, collaborative law and continuing education including a focus on complicated and controlling family issues.  Both my experience and training are particularly helpful for families with issues of child custody and for service organizations with staff, board and volunteer issues of reconciliation and reconstruction.  Schedule a consultation to determine how we can best assist you.

Consulting   Strategic planning is central to the development and ongoing vibrancy of any organization.  It feeds successful grant writing, energized and well trained employees, and helps to ensure your organizations vision is directly experienced by your clients.  It becomes a formula for growth and excellent services.  My years of program management have included piloting new programs through reviving steady work horse programs that are still a good idea, but have lost their vibrancy.  Let's schedule a meeting to discuss the specific needs of your organization.  We can develop a plan that uniquely addresses your interests.
